PICK UP FIVE INITIATIVE!For my project, I would like everyone to complete one simple task at the beach that will vastly help to get our oceans back to their natural beauty.
The Pick up Five initiative is asking everyone to properly recycle and dispose of trash and plastic at the beach as well as pick up five pieces of trash you see on the beach or in the water. This simple act, when completed by one person may seem unimpactful, however if every person picks up five pieces of trash these actions instigate great change for the state of our oceans. |

If you're looking for a way to help or a group you wish to support or join but don't know where to start, look no further. There are currently more initiatives for helping reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean than there has ever been before. While there are different ways to help, all are equally as important, if you're too young to volunteer, educating yourself and recycling will help the environment just as much! The goal is too get everyone to at least participate in one way, this way we can all work together to clean up the ocean so that animals and humans can enjoy it for many years to come! In order to find some ways to help, here are some links to check out to find out what way you're going to help save the ocean. Always remember as well, Pick up Five to help the ocean survive!

Other Ways to help
Sometimes the gift of helping out can be the best present of all. Many organizations are always looking for donations in order to support funding for the projects completed by volunteers. Other groups also offer alternative ways such as adopting an animal, helping one more animal survive!
